INTRODUCING

CAREER RESILIENCE

The attitude and approach of those staff members who wish to take charge of their own working journey and who are  proactive in taking responsibility for their contribution to the company they work within.

What is it?

A halfday workshop that:

  • Defines the concept of career resilience, including the characteristics of individuals who are career resilient, and why it is essential in today's work environment
  • Explores the trend for an attitude away from job security toward focused employability
  • Is delivered in a practical, and interactive style
  • Challenges participants to examine how they add value to the goals of the company they work for
  • Is a springboard for further career development work

Who is it for?

Any employee of any organisation who intends working for a minimum of 5 more years and is serious about gaining value from their chosen work.

The training covers:

  • What is career resilience and why is it the "Must Know" subject for everyone in the workforce
  • Characteristics of those who are career resilient
  • The new millennium expectations of staff by employers and obligations of employers toward staff
  • How beliefs around work and career can sabotage your becoming career resilient
  • Life work balance evaluation
  • Individual Career resilience plan

How is it delivered?

  • Interactive workshop providing opportunity for constructive personal challenge and self reflection
  • Feedback given to individual participants to provide direction for ongoing development
  • Follow up coaching session to support action plans recommended

What are the Benefits?

For Participants:

  • They gain an excellent understanding of how they are now expected to think about their own employability rather than job security
  • Identify further personal training requirements to enable them to continue to grow and develop.

For the Company:

  • Staff who have increased ownership of their own skill development
  • Staff who take responsibility for their contribution and success within the company
  • Motivated, proactive employees with the right attitudes for the changing work and economic environment

What makes our training unique?

It is where we put our emphasis

Did you know:

40% or more of the reason training fails to be effective can be due to the lack of buy in, preparation and commitment from the participant and their Manager. The actual delivery of the training as a reason for failure can be as little as 10%, whilst the lack of implementing the learning back into the workplace can be 40% or greater, that is it is never applied back into the job.

Manager and participant must form a partnership to overcome these staggering statistics.

What BR Training does:

We help you to ensure all of these areas are addressed to maximise the learning experience, time and cost commitment made by the participant and their employer.

So we are not just focused on delivering the training, we understand why training can fail, and we will help you to ensure you get the maximum benefits that training can deliver.

"We provide targeted and focused leadership training that carries on delivering long after we have left"
