BELBIN
The Belbin team profiles are based on research undertaken by Meredith Belbin and his team of researchers Over a period of over nine years, based at Henley Management College, England, here they studied the behaviour of managers from all over the world. As the research progressed, different clusters of behaviour were identified as underlying the success of the teams. These clusters of behaviour were then given descriptive names. Over time nine distinctive Team Roles were recognized. These are: Action-oriented roles - Shaper, Implementer, and Completer Finisher People-oriented roles - Co-ordinator, Teamworker and Resource Investigator Thinking roles - Plant, Monitor Evaluator and Specialist
